Blossom Yoga and Wellbeing offers so much more than simply prenatal and postnatal yoga classes. We are a community; bringing together mums and mums-to-be in a positive, supportive, relaxing and nurturing space. Pregnancy is a journey for all of us. I remember being really excited during my first pregnancy but I wasn't quite used to the way that my body was changing or the difficulties I experienced as my bump grew bigger and bigger.
Blossom bonds my expertise as a highly experienced pregnancy and post-natal yoga teacher with my vision of creating a network of mums who can share their experiences and truly support each other. Many new mums find a peaceful haven in our super relaxing baby massage classes, while mums-to-be really enjoy our prenatal yoga classes. When I had my first baby, the excitement and love I felt for her was tempered at times by me feeling tired, isolated and very uncertain. Our mum and baby yoga groups provide a relaxed and fun way to feel connected with other new mums. And we always have time for tea and jammy dodgers afterwards!
As a new mum, you are experiencing all kinds of changes. You are reinventing yourself; you are becoming a gorgeous mother. This is an amazing time but it can also be a time of self-doubt and uncertainty.
Blossom Yoga and Wellbeing is for all women who believe in themselves and believe in the importance of connecting with other women for support and friendship. It is a space for you to remember the very best version of yourself. To find a bit of the you you were before your gorgeous baby arrived. We are here to nourish you as you nourish your baby. As mums, we sometimes forget just how important we are to our family.
Our Hatha yoga based classes attract first time mums but also has a good mix of second, third and fourth time mums who can share their experiences with us. The class really is open to everybody. Some of the ladies already have a regular yoga practice but most have never done yoga before. It’s such a lovely place to meet other new mums and to share your experiences.
Our popular Baby Massage class is a really gentle way to ease yourself into coming out of the house with your little one for the first time and offers a great opportunity to meet other mums. It's a very relaxed class, it is one that focuses specifically on your baby rather than you. But it does give you the opportunity to switch off from the outside world for 45 minutes.
Mum and Baby Yoga is really for us mums. The focus of the class is on postures for us with a small five to ten-minute session for the babies included, most weeks. I do sometimes miss out this part of the class if all the babies are settled and us mums are practising in our very own yoga zones. Sometimes it's nice for us to have time that's undisturbed by our babies.
One to One yoga can take place in your home and is specifically tailored to suit to your needs. You will come away with yoga sequences, breathing exercises and relaxation techniques that are perfect for you as a new mum. Practices that you can use alone or with your baby. Your baby is welcome at every session. Imagine finding ways to relax with your baby. Bliss.
